How do I purchase a Runnings Gift Card?

Runnings Gift Card are available for purchase in store and on Runnings.com, all are physical Gift Cards and are offered in the following denominations:

  • Runnings Gift Card purchased in store: Any amount
  • Runnings Gift Card purchased on Runnings.com : $10, $25, $50, $100, and the ability to add in a custom value amount between $10 - $1000

Runnings does not sell any digital or eGift Cards.

 

In Store: You can purchase physical Runnings Gift Cards at any Runnings store during checkout.

Runnings.com: Runnings Gift Cards can be purchased on Runnings.com by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Runnings Gift Card page
  2. Choose options to select your gift card value amount and recipient information
  3. Select Add to bucket
  4. Select "View & Edit Bucket" or "Proceed to Checkout"
  5. Follow prompts to complete order

Runnings Gift Cards are sent by USPS mail, delivered in 5-7 days.

How can I use or manage Runnings Gift Cards?

Runnings Gift Card can be redeemed, for all or part of their value, anywhere in a Runnings store or on Runnings.com.

Runnings Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase Runnings Gift Card.

  • Runnings Gift Cards will always be used as first type of tender before charging a credit/debit card.
  • Runnings Gift Cards don’t expire, and don’t lose value over time, even if this is printed on gift card.
  • Runnings Gift Cards require an access number to redeem the gift card funds in store or on Runnings.com.
  • Runnings Gift Cards must have barcodes that are scanable in order to redeem in a Runnings store.

How do I use a Runnings Gift Cards with a credit card when placing an order?

If you're paying with a Runnings Gift Card and a credit card, we'll apply Runnings Gift Card payments first and charge the remainder to the credit card you've selected for the order. If your Runnings Gift Card covers the entire amount of your order, you won't need to provide any additional payment information.

  1. During checkout, select "Apply Runnings Gift Card", input the Gift card # and security code. The security code can be found by gently removing the silver foil on the back of your gift card.
  2. Use "See Balance" to verify the Gift Card Balance, and "Apply" to add this payment amount to your order.
  3. To use multiple Runnings Gift Cards on one order, clear Gift card # and security code information, then add the additional card information.

To remove an applied Runnings Gift Card from an order, click the "Remove" option in the checkout summary.

The gift card amount used toward your order will be immediately removed from your available Gift Card balance once the order is placed.

How do I reload my Runnings Gift Card?

To reload your Runnings Gift Card visit any Runnings store. Runnings Gift Cards can’t be reloaded on Runnings.com.

Can I return a Runnings Gift Card?

Runnings Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or credit except where required by law.

Can I request a replacement if my Runnings Gift Card is lost or damaged?

If your Runnings Gift Card has a damaged or defective barcode, you can request a replacement by calling the Runnings Support team at 1-844-RUN-1947. If the Runnings Gift Card barcode is still intact, your local Runnings store may be able to scan and replace your card as long as the access code is still legible.

If you lost a Runnings Gift Card with an available balance, you can request a replacement by calling the Runnings Support team at 1-844-RUN-1947. Partially used Runnings Gift Cards will be replaced for the remaining balance.

How long should I hold on to my Runnings Gift Card after ordering an item?

When using Runnings Gift Cards, hang on to them until you receive your order, just in case we need to change your order and credit your Runnings Gift Card.

Will I be charged a shipping fee when purchasing a Runnings Gift Card?

Runnings Gift Card qualify for free standard shipping. You may have an additional charge if you select premium or express shipping.

Where can I find the tracking number for a Runnings Gift Card I ordered?

Tracking information is only available for gift card orders placed using express shipping. Tracking information can be found within your shipping confirmation email or by logging into your Runnings account and viewing your order history. For information or questions about your order, call Runnings.com Support at 1-844-RUN-1947.

What is an authorization hold?

Once you place an order, you may have a pending authorization on your debit or credit card account in the amount of the estimated order total. While authorization holds are not actual charges, they allow your bank to reserve funds so the order can be processed. Authorization holds are temporary and only remain in effect until they expire, the card issuer removes the hold, or the authorization is settled. Once an item has shipped, the authorization hold is removed and charges will post to your debit or credit card account.

It’s possible that you may have multiple authorizations and/or charges on your account for an order. Authorization holds may be requested for individual items if your order ships in multiple shipments. You may also have any combination of the following:

  • An authorization hold in the amount of the estimated order total.
  • Posted charge(s) for shipped item(s).
  • New authorization holds for remaining items that haven't shipped.

If at any point an authorization hold request fails, Runnings automatically cancels the order. If you need help requesting the removal of an authorization hold, contact your card issuing bank.
