Popular customer event generates funds to fight breast cancer

MARSHALL, MINN – (11/16/18) – Runnings, your Home, Farm and Outdoor Store, announced today that a recent Ladies Night promotion generated $19,306 to support the fight against breast cancer. The annual event, held each October, was attended by thousands of customers in more than 40 stores for a night of fun events, discounts and giveaways. During the evening, customers could buy a Runnings Cinch Bag for $1.00 and all proceeds from bag sale were donated to breast cancer research and education.

“Ladies Night continues to grow in popularity each year,” says Adele Reed, who owns Runnings along with her husband, Dennis. “But, we’re most proud of the steady growth in dollars raised for local communities to help fight this disease which has impacted so many of families, friends and neighbors.”

Since it first started in 2010, Runnings Ladies Night has raised over $100,000. All dollars are given to each hosting stores cancer affiliated organization. Forty-one of Runnings forty-four stores hosted the event this year.
