Ladies Night Event Raises Over $30,000
Funds donated to local cancer affiliated organizations
MARSHALL, MINNESOTA – October 29, 2019 – Runnings, your Home, Farm and Outdoor Store, announced today that a recent Ladies Night promotion generated $30,206 to support the fight against cancer. The annual event, held each October, was attended by thousands of customers in 46 stores for a night of fun events, discounts and giveaways. During the evening, customers could buy a Runnings limited edition purple 5-gallon bucket for $1.00 and all proceeds from sales were donated to cancer research and education.
“Ladies Night is a lot of fun for our customers and store teams,” says Adele Reed, who owns Runnings along with her husband, Dennis. “We’re very excited that this was a record year for the number of dollars our customers helped us raise for local communities to help fight this awful disease.”
Since it first started in 2010, Runnings Ladies Night has raised over $125,000. All dollars are given to each hosting stores’ cancer affiliated organization. Forty-six of Runnings forty-seven stores hosted this year’s event.
