All lawns naturally have some thatch that helps keep the wind and sun from drying it out and killing the grass. Thatch is composed of dead grass, clippings, leaves and other debris. After a year withour raking, excess thatch buildup eventually begins to suffocate the grass. The Agri-Fab de-thatcher effectively loosens and lifts thatch to prevent an excess promoting healthy lawn growth. This de-thatcher features twenty four durable spring tines for easy thatch removal. Its 48" tray holds up to 70 lb. for added soil penetration and the transport handle allows for easy raising and lower of the tines.
