Great casting reel- But
Michiel West While this real is one of the best reals to cast. There is 2 designing flaws. 1 the level wind is to close to the spool, 2 the fact that the line guide stays stationary while the drag is running out, causes miss laid line. The miss laid line wouldn't be such a problem if the level wind was farther from the spool. The problem I'm having is when the line guide is over to one side or the other of the spool (Not in the middle) the line is dragging across the spool. Causing a .31 0f Lb. drag fluctuation. Jerky drag. I bought 4 of these type reals for my guide business, I had to get them out of the line up. Watch this video, to see what I'm talking about. https://youtu.be/ZjlVdsez9w0 It is advertised as a competition drag. This real will be a great reel if they redesign it and listen to what i have showed them. Once you buy it you are stuck with it as well. Diawa offers no refund for there reels.
Pros: Needs redesighned. The level wind needs to move while the drag's going out
Cons: The T wing is a great idea. It needs to be farther from the spool to start.
